More "In Bloom" earrings

I made some new "In Bloom" earrings. This time I used not only a different color scheme, but I also replaced the round bead from the original design with a fire-polished bead. They turned out pretty cool!

New Beading Tutorial - "In Bloom" beaded earrings

Good evening fellow beaders!

I've been playing with my beads as I often like to do and designed some delicate and romantic earrings. I called them "In Bloom" as they remind me of flowers blossoming.

These beadwoven earrings are made in two color combinations: the first is bronze and the second is made in gentle pink shades. They are made with round glass beads, 11/0 seed beads and small daggers beads.

Here goes the pair with bronze 11/0 seed beads (Toho 221) and rainbow frosted dark topaz 11/0 seed beads (Toho 162CF).

For the pink pair I used inside color lined terracotta luster 11/0 seed beads (Toho 186) and transparent frosted rosaline 11/0 seed beads (Toho 11F).

And the two earrings together :)

More pictures with "Precious Beads"

A few more pictures with "Precious Beads" in action! :)

For the beaded beads I used two-hole Superduo Beads and seed beads. Then I mixed the beaded beads with all kind of glass beads and made these bracelets.

And the mint green beaded bead went for a necklace: natural green turquoise rondele beads, natural round green agate beads and 7/0 bronze Matubo seed beads.

"Precious Beads" in pastel colors

This is the first time I use soft pastel colors seed beads in my beadwork. I normally like strong, saturated colors and high contrasts like black and red or different combinations of complementary colors like blue and orange, yellow and purple or red and green. Even for my clothes I choose bright colors, something you would notice from distance.

So, there were no pastels in my life until this beading project. I had some soft colors in my bead stash which I never used before and didn't have any idea what to do with them, they didn't seem to fit in any beadwork of mine. But if there is one thing I learned from all these years of working with seed bead is that every color finally finds its perfect match. Just have to have a little patience (sometimes years of waiting! :)

These are the beads I made, different pastels (lavender, pink, yellow and mint green) combined with gold and bronze Superduo beads.

And here is the way I used these beads in jewelry projects. I think they look wonderful, soft, classy and rich.

"Precious Beads" Tutorial

I've been working these days on a new design for beaded beads. The advantage of beaded beads is that they can be used for all kind of projects, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, even for some thematic decorations. I strung my beads into a bracelet and wrote a tutorial.

Here is the result!

"Fleur-de-lis" earrings in new colors

Hello everyone!

I made some new pairs of "Fleur-de-lis" earrings in other color combinations.

Here is the first pair for which I used crystal gold opaque superduo beads, inside color lined slate blue 11/0  seed beads (Toho 188) and blue peacock dagger beads.

And for the second color choice I used autumnal shades of brown, pale yellow, dark orange and grey - they are perfect for everyday wear. If you would like to make a similar pair you should use orange dark travertine transparent superduo bead, transparent rainbow matte light topaz 11/0 seed beads (Toho 162F) and tortoise brown transparent daggers.

"Wheel of Time" color experiment

I decided to make a little color experiment. I had a pack of blue turquoise opaque two-hole superduo beads and wanted to see how this color would look combined with different color seed beads. The seed beads I chose are autumnal and look perfect together, but let's see how they look with blue :)

I used my earring pattern "Wheel of Time" for this color adventure.

First I made the earring with jonquil /burnt orange inside lined seed beads (Toho 950). This color combination is a classical one, as blue and orange are complementary colors in the color wheel. They go well together and one can never fail if decides to use this color combo in making jewelry, or anything else.

Then I made the earrings with transparent rainbow smokey topaz seed beads (Toho 117). This is how it looks together with the orange earring. I think they are wonderful! :)

And then I used the yellow inside color lined seed beads (Toho 192).

And, here are all the earrings together! I like the result :) Colorful and bright!
I could wear them combined, why not? Or use all these elements to create a new piece of jewelry, the colors are wonderful to be used together :)
